Dr Seuss happens to be one of my FAVORITE children’s authors. I have LOVED Dr Seuss books since I was a child and still enjoy reading the books to my children. Last night I read the book “Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!” to Hannah before she went to bed last night. I knew that the teachers would be talking about Dr Seuss today, so I wanted her to be prepared. My daughter likes to brag, so I know she will be telling her teacher that we read last night.
In addition to all the fun books by Dr Seuss, I love his quotes. Here is my favorite….
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
This quote is so true. I remember when I was young caring too much about what others thought. I have learned throughout the years to be myself. If people don’t like you for who you are, then you don’t need them in your life anyways
If you want the Dr Seuss books for your children, Amazon has the box set Dr. Seuss’s Beginner Book Collection (Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish, Green Eggs and Ham, Hop on Pop, Fox in Socks) on Sale right now for only $26.00. This box set is regularly $44.95 and probably won’t stay on sale for long. I have all the books or I would buy the set for myself. This would make a GREAT GIFT for any child too!

We love Dr. Seuss books. I also like the Cat in the Hat series. And the Cat in the Hat show is great too. Plus, there are so many cute Dr. Seuss crafts out there, so you can really celebrate with crafts, books, the television show and even dinner – anyone up for Green Eggs and Ham tonight? LOL!

I love Dr. Seuss’s quotes. The one you quoted is my favorite. Another favorite one of mine is “I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”

We celebrated his birthday the day after because I didn’t know it was his birthday until Gabriel got home from school. So we had green eggs and ham for breakfast.
