Growing up I just LOVED the Disney film Lady and the Tramp. Of course as a child one of my favorite scenes was watching the famous scene with the two dogs eating a spaghetti dinner together, but I think one of all time favorite scenes is with the Siamese cats. For some reason, I just LOVE the cats and the song that is played and have sung it throughout the years at various and random times.
For those of you that have no clue what I am talking about, take a peek at my FAVORITE Lady and the Tramp scene & song!
A classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects. Although they have fun together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and the affection of her human family.
I am excited to say that Disney has released Lady and the Tramp out of their vault on Feb 7 for a limited time. I have a copy of the Diamond Edition on hand and have already enjoyed taking a peek at the Bonus Features and Deleted Scenes! Here is a list of just a few of my favorites:
- Diane Disney Miller: Remembering Dad – Want to learn more about Mr Disney?
- The Siamese Cat Song: Finding A Voice For The Cats – Very cool for those of you that like the cats like me!
- Puppypedia: Going To The Dogs – cute feature that discusses different types of dogs
With the Diamond Edition of Lady and the Tramp, you will receive a Blu-Ray and DVD version. I have played both of them and I totally prefer the Blu-Ray version!
Now for the Lady and the Tramp activities…
