Although I wouldn’t say that I have a green thumb, I can say that I do enjoy gardening. Each year I do some kind of gardening, rather it be putting new plants in my flower bed out front of my house, planting seeds and bulbs to grow new flowers or even planting some veggies that I can use since I love to cook.
When it comes to dirt, I have learned from experience that dirt is not just dirt. There are some bags of dirt or planting mix that are better than the others. This past week we had the opportunity to review the Miracle Grow Expand ‘n Gro™ soil. I let my husband put the dirt to use and he didn’t realize just how much the dirt was going to really expand.
You can see from my picture I took below that the dirt really does expand.
The Miracle-Gro Expand ‘n Gro Planting Mix is one of those bags that are different than your basic bag of potting soil. This planting mix has a unique blend of the Miracle-Gro plant food and coconut coir fiber which has the ability to expand up to 3 times when water is added. This mix also includes plant food that can help feed your plants for up to 6 months.

If you haven’t started your garden yet, you better start preparing. I always remember the saying that “April Showers Brings May Flowers”.

Thanks for the tip! I have two planter boxes out on the back deck that seem to have some mixed results. It couldn’t hurt to try something new.
