Now that I am a mom, I know the importance of brushing your teeth. For children though, brushing your teeth can be a chore and sometimes avoided if possible. I know my kids dread me saying “it is time to brush your teeth”, if only they didn’t need a reminder. Thanks to companies like Colgate, we have products available that can make brushing your teeth maybe a little fun for the kids!
My kids have recently had the opportunity to review some of the oral care products from Colgate. Honestly, I had never seen my children have a big interest in brushing their teeth until mom opened a box of goodies that had Dora, Spongebob and STARS on the packaging. Since we only have one bathroom, it was a fight to who was going to get to brush their teeth first. I wish I would have recorded them on video, it was pretty comical.
One of my favorite products we received for review is the Colgate Pop Stars. This toothpaste has a mild mint flavor and has cute little star breath strips in it. This toothpaste is an anti-cavity product that helps protect teeth against cavities and helps with bad breath too! Even though this is a toothpaste for kids, I will admit that I tried this toothpaste too! I couldn’t resist. The only downfall is the stars sometimes clog the opening when trying to squeeze it out, but my kids LOVE this stuff. I will definitely be buying this regularly because anything that encourages my kids to brush their teeth is my friend.
Another fun product we received is the Dora The Explorer battery powered toothbrush. This was PERFECT for my daughter Hannah. She happens to be a fan of Dora and one of my children that give me the hardest time when it comes to brushing her teeth. This toothbrush has a small rotating head that cleans the teeth and helps remove plaque.
You can also buy the matching Dora The Explorer Anti-Cavity Toothpaste too! Hannah is now brushing her teeth more often using both of these fun products from Colgate.
Okay moms, Halloween is coming which can lead to lots of cavities. You must be prepared! According to the LA Times, close to 600 million pounds of candy is purchased each year in preparation for the 90 percent of US children who go trick-or-treating on Halloween. If you have a toddler, Colgate has the My First Colgate toothbrush and toothpaste for a toddler’s first Halloween. My First Colgate toothpaste contains no artificial colors or preservatives.
Moms, it is very important to remind your children to brush every day, twice a day. Take advantage of the products from the Colgate Kids portfolio to make brushing a fun chore in your home!

I wonder if my daughter would like brushing her teeth more if she had an electric toothbrush. I may have to try a Dora brush!
