With all of my children, I used various wearable blankets. I think most of the ones I received were gifts, but they were always my favorite. I know as a mom, I always like to make sure my babies are nice and warm. I am one that worries about the blankets sneaking up leaving your feet out in the cold. With wearable blankets, you don’t have to worry about this problem.
I have had the opportunity to review one of the 100% cotton HALO Sleepsack Wearable Blankets. These wearable blankets are also available in micro-fleece, but my preference has always been cotton. They also come in a variety of cute prints for both boys and girls like Soft Pink, Baby Blue, Baby Yellow, Cream, Pink Dots, Blue Dots, Sage Dots, Leopard Print, Camouflage Print, Pink Daisies Print, Blue Dog Print and White Barnyard Print. These blankets are so neat because you don’t have to worry about your little one’s toes and feet getting cold. For the younger babies, you an also find the Halo Swaddle too!
The HALO SleepSack wearable blanket reduces the risk of rebreathing (the inhalation of carbon dioxide), which has been associated as a possible cause of sudden infant death syndrome. The SleepSack wearable blanket allows your baby to stay safe, warm and cozy all night long. They are also the ONLY product that carries seals from the leading SIDS organizations in both the U.S. and Canada.
Additional features:
- Generous sack design allows room for kicking, but can’t be kicked off so baby stays warm all night.
- Inverted zipper makes diaper changes easy, won’t pinch baby’s skin and makes it harder for an older child to unzip.
- Sleeveless design allows for ventilation and reduces the risk of rebreathing into sleeve.
- New embroidered message on chest reminds caregivers to place baby on his or her back.
- Slips on easily over a regular sleeper or diaper.
- Machine washable and dryable with like colors.
- Made of 100% interlock cotton.
Buy It: The Halo Sleepsack is available exclusively at Target or you can buy the Halo products online on at: https://www.halosleep.com. You can also find HALO on Facebook and on Twitter.

I’ve been debating trying Halo, but I hear that babies bust out of them pretty easily so I haven’t gone out and purchased one.

Oh, I love Halo Sleepsacks! My LO sleeps in them for every nap and night. They are just so practical and so safe. I don’t have to worry about him getting cold during the night or having a blanket covering his face. My LO slept in the swaddle version for the first 4 months until we switched him to the regular sleepsacks.

This is the only way to go with babies. I never used with blankets with either of my children, as I was always freaked by SIDS. This sounds like a great one!
