When I was a child, I thought a root beer float was so cool. I was able to have not only root bear which I LOVED, I also got to have some ice cream too. When my mom made them at home, I remember her making the root beer floats in cold FROSTED mugs that made them even better!
This month Shoney’s is celebrating their 65 th anniversary and since they are known for their popular root bear floats, they are having a special promotion this month. Through November 30, when you order a root beer float you can receive a limited edition collectable Coca-Cola bell soda glasses. Shoney’s has partnered with Coca-Cola to offer its breakfast guests a coupon to enjoy the frosty fountain treat at the throwback price of 65 cents with a return meal enjoyed during the luncheon or dinnertime hours (purchase must be $5.00 or more and patrons must dine-in).
For those that have a Shoney’s near, this sounds like a yummy deal to me. I LOVE root beer floats, but unfortunately I don’t have a Shoney’s local to me. For those that already at at Shoney’s, be sure to take advantage of those $.65 cent root bear floats for me! If you prefer to make your own root beer floats at home, be sure to enter my giveaway below to win some cool glasses to make your drinks in.
