I remember when my first daughter was born, I had the basic baby monitor that just had audio. Moms are lucky today because you can now get fancy monitors like the VTech  Safe & Sound Full Color Video and Audio Monitor shown below:

I totally wish they would have had one of these monitors years ago. When it comes to baby monitors, I think this one is fancy because of all the neat features.

• Split Screen Viewing – Got multiple rooms you want to see? You can view up to four cameras from one parent unit.
• Infared LED – This camera works at night which saves you from waking the baby by using a light.
• Talk-Back – You can communicate with your baby from the parent unit to the baby unit.
• Range – Use this up to 1,000 feet.

I LOVE that you can watch multiple rooms with this monitor system. You have the option to view just a single room view, but if you have more than one room to watch you can set this up for a quad view to watch up to 4 rooms. I think this would be handy for many of you!

I have a very active 4 year old that has a lot of toys. I am going to use this VTech system as a way to keep an eye on my son while he is playing, while I am working at my desk. For those of you that work at home and have little ones like me, this monitor is perfect for their room or playroom.
