If you are active on Twitter and have some fans, chances are you would like to sometimes schedule a Tweet or Tweets to go out when you aren’t available to post them manually. For the longest time I didn’t know there were services out there that allowed you to do this. Once I found out you can schedule tweets, I use a free service to send out tweets for certain things I am trying to promote so that if I get busy I won’t have to worry about hopping online to Tweet my followers.
Below is a list of the FREE services that allow you to schedule a tweet in advance:
- Buffer – Uses an algorithm to determine the best time of day for your tweets to be sent and automagically posts them for you through the day.
- Dynamic Tweets – Allows you to schedule up to 20 tweets per month at no cost. There is an option to schedule unlimited Tweets for a fee.
- Future Tweets – Use this service to schedule recurring your tweets daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.
- Gremln – This service not only allows you to schedule tweets, you also control your other major social media networks, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, from one dashboard.
- Hootsuite – Offers a great set of tools for managing y0ur social network profiles including the AutoSchedule feature that enables smart scheduling to maximize reach and impact of your tweet.
- LaterBro – A service that lets you send your Facebook and Twitter updates at a later time.
- Pluggio – Allows you to manage multiple Twitter accounts, get more followers and schedule up to 10 tweets per month.
- SocialOomph – Not only can you schedule tweets with this service, you can track keywords, purge your DM inbox, purge your tweets and more!
- Stumble Upon Short URL Service (Su.pr) – This is my FAVORITE service. This is a url shortening service with the ability to simultaneously syndicate your content to multiple social media websites. This service lets you know the best suggested time to send out your tweets too!
- Twuffer – Easy to use service that allows you to schedule your upcoming tweets anytime of the day or night!
Now these are just 10 of the FREE services out there and I am sure there are a ton more. I personally use the Su.pr free service to schedule my Tweets each day because this helps me get more FREE traffic from StumbleUpon too!
For those that schedule your tweets, what service do you prefer?
