When I was young I played softball. I might have not that good, but it was a sport that I liked and enjoyed playing. I sometimes wished that my girls would want to play softball because I remember the fun memories that I made back then. When you join a team, you also make new friends which is always FUN. This year my oldest daughter joined the high school softball team. I thought it was pretty neat she joined the team to see if she liked the sport. She is no longer on the team, but I am happy that she gave it a chance.

Now my son just turned five last month and I am hoping that he wants to play baseball. The season starts next month and I am hoping that we can sign him up for T-Ball so he can become part of a team and make new friends. My kids spend quite a bit of time at home and we are always encouraging them to find something to do. Once I sign him up I think it would be fun to go buy him his first set of sports equipment like his first glove and cleats. If he really enjoys the sport like I did, it would also be fun to take him to his first real major league game too!
So for those of you with children, what sports do they or have they played?

My son plays baseball, he loves it! I say sign him up. Being a part of a team is great for kids 🙂

My boys play soccer right now, my oldest has always played. My youngest son played baseball for the majority of the time and one season of football. But he know wants to play basketball.
My little guy is 2.5 yr and we have not put him in any sports yet. I think we might try for swimming lessons this spring.

My son wants to play baseball, but it’s really expensive around here. When I had the money, he used to do karate. Now he’s in Cub Scouts, and they have a bunch of “try it”sports nights coming up, so I’ll take him to those and see what he wants to do later.
Neither my husband nor I were ever into sports growing up, but my daughter tried a few sport teams in her middle school. She didn’t really like them either. I hope your son enjoys it!
My sons both tried little league and soccer but neither lasted too long.
