One thing that is delicious that I don’t get to eat that often is S’mores. Those are usually something you save for those special times like when you are camping or having a bonfire. If you happen to have some marshmallows left over from Easter, you might just want to make yourself a dessert style pizza with them.
I didn’t come up with the idea myself though for the pizza. We recently ordered from the local take and bake pizza place by my house and happened to order a S’mores pizza. It was so good that I was determined to make one at home.
To make the S’mores Pizza that I created, you first roll out your pizza dough and rub about a tablespoon worth of butter across the top. Now I made my own dough, using extra sugar in the dough to make it sweet, but you can use the premade pizza dough too!
Next spread some brown sugar over the butter covering the top.
After you are done with the brown sugar, you are going to want to sprinkle some oats on top. You won’t want to put a whole lot, but sprinkle it lightly across the top and evenly.
Next you are going to want to add some chocolate chips. The amount you are going to add depends on just how chocolatey you want your pizza.
Now the fun part. Time to add the marshmallows….
Now put this pretty pizza in the oven and bake at 475 degrees for 10-12 minutes. You will know its done when your crust is golden and your marshmallows are melted.
If you want to make your own dessert pizza dough, here is an easy recipe:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup sugar sugar
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- Add warm water and package of yeast in a cup and stir. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add water with yeast and remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl. Use a dough hook and knead dough with mixer until dough is soft/silky to the touch but not sticky.
- You might need to add a drop of water/flour to get the perfect texture.
- You can use dough right away or choose to put in bowl and cover to allow dough to rise.
