My kids can be picky about certain foods but for the most part, we all enjoy eating chicken. I usually cook a chicken dinner at least a few times a week but serve it in a variety of forms. One of my kids favorite ways to eat chicken would have to be chicken nuggets. My kids enjoy dipping their chicken in ranch, BBQ sauce, honey mustard and sweet ‘n sour dipping sauces.
Since summer vacation is just days away, I have been thinking of quick and easy meals that I can make or my kids that are good to eat, healthy and appealing so they want to eat it. This weekend I stopped by Sam’s Club and purchased some items to make a lunch for the kids. I wanted to create a bento box style lunch that included the Tyson Chicken Fries. I got some other ideas along the way when I was shopping.
When I first walked in, an employee was making these yummy treats with raspberries, blueberries, pound cake and whipped cream. Since Memorial Day is coming up, I thought this would be something I could add to my bento box and enjoy too! My daughters and I also tried the Ore Ida Sweet Potato Fries which were really good and a more healthier option as opposed to regular french fries so I grabbed a bag of these for my bento box too!
Once we got home from the store, I was excited to try out the Tyson Chicken Fries so I hurry and popped them in the oven with the sweet potato fries. While the fries were cooking, I made my honey mustard dipping sauce. I added both honey mustard sauce and ranch dressing into little cups to put into my boxes.
I also had time to make the very berry dessert for the meal. These were fun to make and also fun to eat! I am glad I got the idea from the nice employee at Sam’s Club.
I made a few of these Chicken Fries Bento Boxes and it was pretty cool to watch my husband eat one too! I included the Tyson Chicken Fries, Ore Ida Sweet Potato Fries, Carrots because we need our veggies, dessert and the two dipping sauces (ranch and honey mustard).
Now in this easy chicken snack that can be ready in under 15-20 minutes. I decided to get a little crafty and create my own dipping sauce. I am a big fan of honey mustard so I made my own honey mustard dipping sauce that is definitely good with the Tyson Chicken Fries and here is the recipe below.
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 1/2 TBS honey
- 1 TBS yellow mustard
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- In a bowl, add all ingredients.
- Stir and mix well.
This is just one of many ideas that you can use with the Tyson Chicken Fries. For a ton of more fun and yummy recipes, check out the #chickenfrytime hashtag on Twitter. You can also view my pictures of my shopping trip to Sam’s Club for this post on my Tyson-SamsClub Google+ Photo Album.
