I am excited to announce that Disney’s Monsters University hit the theaters today. For those of you with little ones that have been patiently waiting, this weekend you can now take them to see the prequel to Monsters Inc. With this movie you find out about the early days of the characters from Monsters Inc.
Back in April I was able to see 40 minutes of this film at Pixar before the film was officially finished. I can tell you that I LOVED what I seen and I have been really anxious to see the entire film from beginning to end. My kids are also excited to see this so we are going to be making a movie night soon with my youngest two children.

I want to let you know that Monsters University is NOT scary. Even though it is full of monsters, it is definitely going to make your kids laugh and smile! In April I also got to meet the producers, directors and other key members that put this film together and learn how this movie was made (view my posts here). I learned a lot there and this is another reason I am anxious to see it. I also want to see how it ends…
Here is the Monsters University trailer for those that haven’t seen it:

Oh I am totally going to enter – thanks for the heads up. Although, I do have to disagree with you slightly. I think Monsters U is a bit scary for very little ones. I I am going to delay taking K to see it in the theater because of this. Granted she is afraid of things easily, but I still think there is a little bit of a scare factor in the movie. (Perhaps after the 40 min mark you saw!!!)
On the other hand — I LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie ๐

This movie was absolutely fantastic. We went for a pre-screening showing and loved it then took the kids again this weekend. They made us buy Monsters Inc. as well so they could enjoy Mike & Sully at home.

I am waiting until a weekday (like today) when I know it won’t be crowded so I can take my son. I really can’t wait to see this!
