Summer is here and it has been really HOT in California this past week. It has been in the triple digits and that means that we are either swimming or staying inside out of the heat. I LOVE movies and family movie nights are something we do often. With paying for the extra cable channels and Netflix, I am always sure to find a movie to watch.
Yesterday we decided to have a family movie night “Teen Beach Movie” style….
Since we love beaches, we decided to make our own beach setup at the pool. So our day started with a little “Teen Beach Movie” style before the movie even started.

The “Teen Beach Movie” is a movie that is going to be PERFECT for a family movie night. Here is the plot….
“Teen Beach Movie” follows teen surfing sweethearts Brady and McKenzie who together ride the last wave of summer, one that mysteriously takes them into a classic beach party movie, “Wet Side Story.” There, it’s surfers versus bikers for control of the beach hangout…and everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. Now, Brady and McKenzie must try to return to present day, but their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently alter the movie’s romantic storyline when handsome surfer Tanner falls for McKenzie and biker girl Lela starts swooning for Brady.
I know it is called Teen Beach movie, but it surely is attracting more than the teens. My almost 9 year old is really excited about this movie. When I put the the silly mask on while I was making our home video, she already knew the characters name that it went to. This movie is actually geared towards kids, teens (ages 6-14) and their families. Take a peek at the trailer below:
“Teen Beach Movie”” is part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original franchise that has produced TV’s #1 movie amount Tweens for the past 11 years and the #1 cable TV movie in Total Viewers for the past 6 years. We are excited to watch it on the 19th and I will definitely be setting the DVR to record it for Hannah to watch a couple times.

I totally picture this as a sleepover movie! I would have loved it at that age!
