I can’t believe we are already halfway through the second month of the year. I have also started the Spring semester at my local community college. I am proud to say that I have been going back to college for a year now. One thing that costs money when going to school is BOOKS. Some books you can find for a good deal online but there are others that can be expensive. For those that would rather rent than buy, there is a website where you can rent your textbooks online called CampusBookRentals.
Here are some of the perks of renting textbooks with CampusBookRentals:
- SAVE 40-90% off of bookstore prices
- FREE SHIPPING both ways
- You can highlight in the textbooks
- Flexible renting periods
- A donation to Operation Smile is made with each textbook rented
For those of you that have taken some classes but don’t want to keep your books anymore, you might want to take advantage of the website RentBack. If you have books that are in demand, you can make some extra $$ by renting them to other students.
How the RentBack service works.
- Look up your book to see if it is in-demand.
- If your book is in demand, print a label and ship it to RentBack
- They rent your book to a student and you make $$.
- That student returns the book and it is then re-rented to another student making you more $$$.
I have a book from last semester that I paid about $120 for. Luckily this book is still in demand because I may be able to make most of my money back on it if I send it to RentBack.
So getting your textbooks for college may not be such a bad thing. If you can’t afford them, rent them. If you can afford to buy them, use them and rent them out to more students.

I always thought college textbooks were such a rip off! Renting is definitely a great way to go! This makes it so easy.

Love this concept, wish they had this when my husband went to college maybe we wouldn’t be paying for his student loans still!
