General Mills + Hot Wheels Review

When it comes to toys, my son LOVES the Hot Wheels® cars. I have to admit that I have always liked them too. I actually started collecting them years ago and just recently gave them to my son since he was going to get more use from them than I would. It amazes me how little things like Hot Wheels® can keep my son entertained for hours.

I remember when I was a child, my favorite cereal was Lucky Charms. I would be so thrilled to find a toy in my box of cereal. I don’t see prizes in cereals as often now as I did when I was a child, but they still exist. I was totally excited to find out that General Mills teamed up with Hot Wheels®! In selected boxes of cereal (Cheerios® 14 oz, Cinnamon Toast Crunch® 17 oz, Lucky Charms® 16 oz, Reese´s Puffs® 18 oz, and Cookie Crisp® 15.6 oz), you will find one of four custom-designed collectable Hot Wheels® pullback racers. Each car contains a code to unlock an exciting online racing game.

We had the opportunity to review all of 5 of these cereals that included the Hot Wheels® cars. You have no idea how excited my son was when we opened each box of these cereals and it had one of these cars .We took turns helping him put the stickers on each of them and now he has some cool cars that he has added to his toy collection. I just hope that he doesn’t get mad when we go to open a box of cereal and it doesn’t have a cool car in it.

    Growing up I loved any sugary cereals, but now that I am a mom and am trying to help my family eat “healthier” I buy lots of cheerios 😀

    My favorite cereal when I was a kid was Lucky Charms. My folks weren’t keen on buying it too often (it wasn’t terribly healthy and usually more expensive than the generic “boring” cereals) so whenever they did it was a special treat!

    Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs have always been my favorite! Ths marshmallows in the Lucky Charms bring back so many memories, lol.

    My favorite cereals were Froot Loops and Lucky Charms. We rarely got those cereals and mostly had Shredded Wheat (plain!) and corn flakes.
    Right now, we buy Lucky Charms! With the vitamins added, I don’t have a problem with my oldest eating a bowl in the morning with some juice.

    We love all kinds of Cheerios and Crispix now. I didn’t have cereal a lot growing up because it was too expensive. I see that for myself now but I love cereal so I try to find good deals when I buy it. Gotta have it though. I couldn’t find a sale earlier at the store and didn’t have a coupons so I didn’t get any today but I really wish I had now.
