This is a partnered post with YesVideo. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
In 2010 I decided to plan a trip with just my daughters to Disneyland for a girls trip. While my husband and my son stayed home, the girls and I made our way to Southern California for some fun at Disneyland.
While I normally take lots of photos on my trips, on this particular trip I brought our video camera. I wanted to be able to take video of our trip to show my husband as well as have some memories of my first girls trip with my daughters. After that trip the camera along with the videos that I took on it have been sitting in my closet. With the technology today, I use the video camera on my phone or use my camera to take videos, using the camcorder is to outdated.
Last month I was able to relive those memories at Disneyland. I sent the tape from my trip to Disneyland to YesVideo to be transferred onto DVD. I hadn’t watched the video that I took from this trip since I took it so when I sent off the tape to be transferred I couldn’t wait to get the DVD. What was exciting was receiving an email before the DVD arrived letting me know that my videos had been transferred and I could watch them online.
I am glad that I sent these tapes in when I did as the quality of the video isn’t the best but the memories are priceless. My husband was finally able to see the fun memories that we made. My daughter Hannah who is now 10 I think loved the videos the most. She was only six years old at the time and absolutely LOVED watching the memories that YesVideo was able to transfer and share online.
YesVideo has a process of transferring your videos is both safe and secure. They handle the customer’s memories as if they were their own and the Memory Factory contains surveillance cameras at every stage. Once the movies are transferred they also create digital copies that are archived for added security. YesVideo accepts VHS tapes, camcorder tapes, movie reels and even 35mm slides.
I like the whole video transfer process that YesVideo offers. I like that you receive an email when they received you old media to let you know it has safely arrived. Once they have transferred your videos you will then receive an email letting you know that the process has been completed with a link to view your new videos online. Once YesVideo is done with your old media they send it back and you will also receive an email letting you know that your old media has been sent so that you can keep an eye out for it. Although I really like having the video of our trip on a DVD, I also like that I can view it online and also have the option to share with my family and friends online.
Transferring old memories onto a DVD could make for a perfect gift for the holidays. The holiday deadline for YesVideo is December 2nd if you would like to receive your DVD’s by December 24th. You can also choose to transfer those memories by making an order at the photo counter of Costo, Sam’s Club, Walmart, or CVS.

I have a bunch of old VHS tapes that I would love to have put on a DVD at some point. Especially since I have no way to watch them on VHS.

I have software this does this very thing though I can’t seem to find the time to get all of our home videos transferred to DVD. We also have a ton of VHS tapes that could use some updating.

This is such a cool idea. We all have memories recorded on some form of storage that’s become obsolete.
