One thing I love to try is new appliances and gadgets for my kitchen. I really enjoy baking and creating new recipes for my family and believe it or not, until just year I had never used any type of pressure anything. I have heard of using a pressure cooker and was excited to review of the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Ovens from KitchenTek.
When my pressure oven arrived I was excited My first thing I just had to cook in my new Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven was a Cornish hen. I buy these pre-baked at the store occasionally and had always wanted to be able to make my own at home instead of driving to the store to buy one.
I layed the cornish hen on a bed of vegetables including potatoes, celery and carrots. I then placed it in the oven and set it to Roast for 30 minutes.
The time that it takes to cook the food varies depending on what you are cooking and the size. If you were cooking something larger like a 11-13 pound turkey you would cook it about 55 minutes. I like that you can bake a turkey that size but I have yet to attempt it.
The Wolfgang Puck has the option to Roast, Broil or Bake and has the option to use pressure with the flip of a lever that seals the oven while you cook.
After making the first Cornish hen I made another one a couple days later. This time without vegetables and lots of seasoning on the skin.
I also have made quite a few other delicious meals and treats in my Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven. This little oven can be really fun to use, it just takes up some space in the kitchen that I don’t have.
I have broiled some delicious BBQ ribs…
I have baked some rolls to go with dinner in my pressure oven…
I have even got creative and made dessert in my pressure oven. I have found a way to make some yummy yummy homemade apple pies that are ready in just minutes!
The meals that you can create in the Wolfgang Puck are endless. I had never used any type of pressure cooking before but now I wish I would have discovered this method of cooking earlier.
I really like how moist the meat comes out that I cook, how much flavor my meals have and that some meals can be cooked up to 70% faster compared to my regular oven. There are some days when I need to save time in the kitchen and the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven has helped me make a delicious meal for my family in under an hour.
The only downfall of this oven that I can see is that it does take up space. It is about the same size as a microwave and it does get hot. I have to make sure the kids know not to touch it when I am using it. Otherwise I love this appliance and am happy to have it in my kitchen. This would make a great gift for those that love to cook!
