Disclosure – I received an invite to the #CinderellaEvent. All expenses were paid for and covered by Disney. The opinions stated herein are 100% my own.
Yesterday I posted pictures about the Glam Ball that JC Penney hosted prior to the Cinderella World Premiere. Well shortly after the Glam Ball was a pre-reception in the lower lounge of the El Capitan Theatre. This was also hosted by JC Penney where they provided food, drinks and had a display of costumes and props from the film on display.
Below you will find the a costume from the Prince, Cinderella and the beautiful dress that the Fairy Godmother wore during the movie.
Below are ball gowns that were designed by Sandy Powell that Cinderella’s evil sisters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger), Drizella (Sophia McShera) and the her evil stepmother (Cate Blanchett) wore during the ball scene.
One of my favorite props that I seen during the reception was Cinderella’s glass slipper. Well this slipper is not really glass but an actual Swarovski Crystal that has been cut and faceted into what looks like a glass slipper. What I have heard though is that this glass slipper is just for show and cannot be worn.
Also on display was the one and only ball gown dress that you can find Cinderella (Lily James) wearing during one of the best parts of the movie! The dress looked amazing in person and on screen.
I had a fun time during the pre-reception, hanging out with my fellow blogger friends checking out these pretty costumes and being able to take pictures of them to show my friends and family. I am a huge Cinderella fan and love this whole experience!
Stay tuned tomorrow for my post on my experience during the Cinderella World Premiere.
CINDERELLA opens in theaters everywhere on March 13th!
