Since my family LOVES tacos, I have been wanting to make my tacos taste better. I admit to buying those EXPENSIVE pre-made taco seasonings. Since I enjoy cooking and have quite a few different spices on my shelf, I decided to make my own taco seasoning. I looked at other recipes online and made tacos last night using my own taco seasoning recipe above. I made about 20 tacos my the family and there were NO leftovers. My husband said they were the BEST tacos he has had and to always make them this way.
As for the taco shells, I used corn toritillas (the small white ones). I fry them lightly in oil so they are still semi-soft and then sprinkle Parmesan cheese on the shells when I pull them out. They were YUMMY! They got eaten before I could snap a photo.
I am sure that many of you might have all of these ingredients or almost all of them already in your kitchen. For me, I now NEVER have to buy those packets again. Just wishing I would have done this a long time ago. If you want to pre-make this mix, be sure to use an airtight container.

Yum yum! This looks like a great recipe – I realized I didn’t have any taco seasoning packets last time I made tacos, so I improvised with the seasonings I had on hand. Turned out very yummy indeed!
