There are some days when you just want to get crafty in the kitchen with the sweets….
One thing that I can make that everyone loves is Rice Krispie Treats. I hadn’t made them in a long time so I thought it would be fun so yesterday while the kids were at school I made some cute Easter Rice Krispies Treats that were egg and bunny shaped.
They are really simple to make and definitely put smiles on the kid’s faces. Instead of putting the mixture into a pan, you roll it out with a rolling pin.
Then use some Easter shaped cookie cutters for your shapes. I used an egg and a bunny.
With the bunny I had to be careful with the ears. With each bunny I made sure to pull the excess away before I lifted it up.
Keep cutting out your treats until you run out of room. Just like cookie dough, re-roll the extra to make more treats!
Once the shapes are all cut out, it is time to decorate! Get out the frosting and the cute candy decorations!
First start with some frosting. I used white creamy frosting and added a thin layer to my eggs and bunnies.
Once the frosting is on, next make those bunnies (and eggs) look cute!
It is easy to make some fun and cute Easter Rice Krispies treats for the kids to enjoy!
