Over the last few years I have taken quite the number of flights and been to a variety of airports in the US. One thing that I always fear at airports is the security lines. Sometimes the lines are a short wait but there are many days and times when the lines are LONG and I wish I could just skip the security line altogether and head straight to my gate.
Luckily there is CLEAR, a handy NEW service that allows those that travel the ability to SAVE some precious time by being able to SKIP the airport line…
CLEAR is a membership-based service that allows you to enjoy travel more by reducing the time that you spend at the airport trying to get to your destination. You will be able to save time by skipping the security line, heading straight to screening, getting to that gate even faster. That extra time you would have waited in line you can spend doing something else, like maybe enjoying an extra hour with the family or friends that you may be visiting.
What Does CLEAR Cost?
A CLEAR membership will cost you $179 annually or about $15 per month. With your membership you have the ability to add a spouse to the account for only $50 and your kids that are under 18 are FREE as long as they are traveling with a CLEAR member.
How Do I Signup for CLEAR?
- Sign up online or at any of the enrollment centers. You must be at least 18 to sign up for a membership.
- Register your membership in person so that you can verify your id and have your fingerprints and iris image captured.
- Wait for your CLEAR membership card to arrive via snail mail. As soon as you receive it you are ready to use it on your next flight.
What Airports Will You Find CLEAR?
You can currently use your CLEAR membership in 11 major airports with more opening very soon. The current airports with CLEAR lanes are: San Francisco (SFO), San Jose (SJC), Las Vegas (LAS), Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH & HOU), San Antonio (SAT), Dallas (DFW), Orlando (MCO), Baltimore (BWI), Westchester (HPN), and Miami (MIA) coming soon.
Where Else Can I Use CLEAR?
CLEAR is now also expanding into select Major League Baseball parks around the country which means you can get into those games even faster with an expedited security screening process with the tap of a finger. CLEAR has started at AT&T Park in San Francisco with plans for more areas coming soon!

If I traveled a lot I would get this service because it really saves a lot of time, and no waiting in lines! I think it is also great that kids under 18 are free and it is only $50 to add a spouse.
