While many think that being a work at home mom might be the easiest job, it clearly isn’t. For the most part you are required to do all your work for whatever business you have going, plus the household chores too! There are many times when you have spend hours working, the house looks like a mess and to everyone else it looks as though you have been just being lazy all day. That is where humor comes in. Some days I need to take a TIME OUT for myself, kick up my feet, relax and find something funny to watch like the new Moms Rule YouTube channel.
I love comedy shows and I find some of of the stand up comedians to be hilarious and definitely an escape from whatever bad mood I may be in. Sometimes you can be in a really bad mood and here something funny that you relate to that just changes your whole mood. Well sometimes I think it can be humorous listening to other mom’s rants and raves about their families letting me know that I am not the only one. One mom that I find extremely funny is Stephanie Blum, a former school psychologist from Brooklyn turned hilarious stand-up comedian who host’s Mom’s Rule show.
Take a peek at this video with Stephanie here…
Being a work at home mom of four kids can definitely be a challenge. I normally get up BEFORE the kids to ensure I get my day off to a good start. I check my email and create a schedule for the day. Once the kids wake up, if they are having a bad morning that can sometimes tend to rub off on other member of the family creating sometimes CHAOS. My duty as the mom in the house is to try to keep these kids all happy in the morning so they head off to school happy and that once that door shuts, I can go about my day. Now that they are gone, it is time to find manage your time and get what you need to get done because once the kids get home it is time to cook dinner and be on homework duty. Can you relate?
This month you will also catch Stephanie Blum on TLC’s “What She Said”, a NEW show that features some of the country’s foremost female comics who speak the TRUTH! “What She Said” is set to premiere during TLC’s “Mother Of All Weeks” leading up to Mother’s Day. The sneak peek will air Sunday, May 10th at 11pm EST/10pm CST on TLC” .
Although I am excited to see Stephanie on the show, I am also really excited to see my fellow blogger friends Audrey Vera Sweeney and Audrey McClelland from Getting Gorgeous on the show as well!

I know exactly how you feel about the wrecked house and piles of laundry/dishes not done because I was bust wrangling the 54 year old or doing a bit of freelance work.
