I have always been a fan of games since I was a child. From board games to computer games to now games on my smartphone, there are so many fun games to choose from to keep me entertained. I have no found a game that I like that I think my kids should play that has been designed to change our world!
For the last week I have been playing Tree Story on my smartphone that was created by former Disney Interactive artists. This is a free virtual pet trees game where you can feed, water, dress up and play games with your virtual tree. What makes this game special is a real tree will be planted once you grow your tree and every coin you purchase and every ad you watch on the game will help plant trees too!
When you start the game you choose the location where you want your real tree to be planted and then the type of tree you want to grow. For my first tree I chose to have it planted at Jimi Hendrix Park in Washingon. My second tree I chose River Restoration Planting in Illinois and my third tree will be planted in Brazil.
Once you choose the your tree’s location and type you will then have to raise it from a seedling to a full grown tree.
To get your tree from a seedling to a tree you must give it food, water, sun and play games with it. For some extra fun you can also buy clothes to dress your tree in.
Once you complete the required levels you will get a notification when your tree is ready to be planted.
Now once your tree is ready to be planted the game isn’t over. You can send a message along with your virtual tree and then have the option to grow another tree or visit the ones that you have already planted.
I love that this game has a purpose and also provides entertainment for the kids. Not only can they help grow a virtual tree there is also fun games that can be played within the game to help their trees grow. By playing these games you can earn in-game coins that can be used to buy potions that will speed up your game which helps you plant even more trees for the world!
Tree Story is proud to be working with exceptional, expert organizations to help us plant trees, including ACTrees, Arbor Day Foundation, Project Learning Tree, The Nature Conservancy and the United States Forest Service.
