Disclosure – I received an invite to the #DPZBloggerDay15 event. All expenses were paid for and covered by Domino’s. The opinions stated herein are 100% my own.
Last month I had the opportunity to take a trip to Ann Arbor Michigan to visit the Domino’s World Resource Center for their Domino’s Pizza Blogger Day. I also got to visit the Domino’s Supply Chain Center too where they make the famous Domino’s Pizza dough!
This fun event started at the Domino’s Pizza World Resource with a pizza lesson. We were shown just how Domino’s makes their pizza and then we were able to make our own that would be part of our lunch after the lesson.
My pizza came out perfect and delicious! I learned that they use cornmeal on the outside of the dough and put some garlic sauce on the crust when it comes out. I am going to try these two tips that I learned the next time I make my own homemade pizza.
After our lunch we got to take a tour of the World Resource Center and meet with the Domino’s Customer Care Team where we learned more about the Domino’s brand and even some Domino’s history.
We also were able to do some shopping in The Dot Shop that is inside the World Resource Center where I was able to find some souvenirs to bring back home.
At the end of the day we took a visit to one of the Ann Arbor Domino’s Pizza locations that has their new pizza theater design. Take a peek of the fun Domino’s cheer that they sang for us before we left.
Day one of this trip was fun and I learned a lot about Domino’s that I did not know. What makes this trip fun for me is that I grew up eating Domino’s Pizza. It was the closest pizza place and while it didn’t have the best tasting pizza, it was the best for the price at that time. I am so happy that Domino’s changed their pizza recipe in 2009 because it went from being okay pizza to really good!
