Today was a very special day. I was invited to attend a special private screening along with two of my favorite bloggers for one of the most anticipated movies of this year, Star Wars Episode VII. I grew up watching the Star Wars movies and I was more than thrilled to be able to see the movie before it comes out in theaters this Friday.
Once the lights went out in the theater I was glued to my seat and so was everyone else. I was hesitant to even move my popcorn bag to make any noise because I didn’t want to make any distractions because this is a movie that I had been waiting many years or let’s say a few decades to see.
As the movie started I was immediately taken back to the 80’s, to my childhood years and it was more than awesome! What made it even better was enjoying the movie with two friends that were just as excited as I was.
Thirty years after defeating the Galactic Empire, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and his allies face a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his army of Stormtroopers.

I don’t normally watch movies over 2 hours at the theater but this 2 hour and 16 minute movie went by fast. I don’t think even one person got up from their seats to use the restroom or buy snacks. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was amazing from the beginning all the way to the last few seconds. The ending will have you wanting and hoping for Episode VIII.
The comeback of the Millennium Falcon was a must for the Star Wars fans!
Being a fan of romance, tears came to my eyes when Han Solo reunites with Leia after all these long lost years. I am hoping that there will be an upcoming sequel that will will go back once again like the other sequels have and cover some of those missing years. Inquiring minds want to know!
One of the things that I was excited to see was a female that plays one of the lead characters in this film. Rey who is played by Daisy Ridley starts as just a scavenger in Jakku looking for things to sell that quickly becomes one of the main characters after coming across a cute little droid named BB-8.
In my childhood days I would try and dress up like Princess Leia. I had long hair and would do the little buns on my head just like she did. Today’s generation will have many little girls wanting to dress just like Rey as there are many little girls that want to be just like Katniss from the Hunger Games. I look forward to seeing more of Rey in the future.
