With the big game day coming soon I have been trying to think of what foods I would like to make to enjoy while watching the game with some friends. I have seen a lot of yummy football snack trays that feature cheese, meats and crackers. I wanted something that had crackers but a tray that would be full of things that are sweet!
I recently headed to Safeway to purchase some RITZ® crackers, some Coca-Cola products and some other goodies to create a fun and SWEET football stadium snack tray for those with a sweet tooth like me.
I have been a fan of the RITZ® crackers since I was a kid. On the weekends I would go to my grandparents house and my Nana and I would always make peanut butter sandwiches with RITZ® crackers. This little treat has never got old and although RITZ® crackers come in a variety of flavors, I usually just stick with the originals and then add toppings to them.
How To Make A SWEET Football Stadium Snack Tray
What you will need these ingredients & tools:
- RITZ® crackers
- Peanut Butter
- White chocolate chips
- Green food coloring/gel
- Mini Marshmallows
- Marshmallow treats
- Chocolate candies
- Marshmallow creme
- Caramel corn
- Kettle corn
- Cookie sheet
- Smaller rectangular cake pan
- 4 small mini loaf pans
- Green wrapping paper (optional)
Directions:
Step One: Make peanut butter sandwiches with some RITZ® crackers and creamy peanut butter. I used about 1 teaspoon of peanut butter in each of my peanut butter cracker sandwiches and made 12 sandwiches for my field.
Step Two: Next you are going to melt your white chocolate chips and add some green food coloring or gel to make your chocolate the color of grass. I actually used both liquid food coloring and gel to achieve this color.
Step Three: Next dip the peanut butter sandwiches in the green chocolate and shake off the excess. Place the green chocolate covered sandwiches on a cookie sheet or plate to cool.
Step Four: Once the peanut butter sandwiches have cooled for a 2-3 minutes use a fork on the top of each sandwich to make the chocolate have a grass effect. After I made each of the sandwiches I placed them in the freezer for a couple minutes to make sure they were set.
Step Five: Wrap a cookie sheet with green wrapping paper. Place the smaller cake pan on top and then place your peanut butter sandwiches on the cake pan. Next place the small loaf pans on each side of the cake pan.
Step Six: You will want to cut up some marshmallow treats into rectangles, blocks and squares to go on the sides.
Step Seven: Add the marshmallow treats on the sides like seen in the image below. Use the mini marshmallows to create lines in between your sandwiches to create your goal lines.
Step Eight: Next take some chocolate candies and dip them in a little marshmallow cream and stick them to your marshmallow treats to create the people in the stands.
Step Nine: Add more marshmallow treats around the sides and then add some caramel corn and kettle corn in the small loaf pans on the sides. Place a variety of Coca-Cola products around your stadium to add some refreshments for your guests.
This is just one snack idea for the big game day that your guests are sure to enjoy! For more recipes with RITZ® crackers like this one to get you inspired visit: https://cbi.as/222tv
