One side dish that I like to make when we grill at home is potato salad. One of my family’s favorite is my Potato Salad Recipe With Celery Seed. It has a little bit of a sweet taste because I add relish and the celery seed gives it an extra punch of flavor we really like.
This is just one of many ways that you can make potato salad. For those those that are looking for a side dish to make for an upcoming potluck, this would be perfect!
Potato Salad Recipe With Celery Seed
Ingredients:
- 12 small red potatoes
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet relish
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1 pinch of salt
Directions:
- Cut potatoes in half, add to large pot. Add salt and and boil for 15 minutes or until potatoes are soft where you can stick a fork in them easily. Do not overcook.
- Drain hot water and place in large bowl. Place bowl in freezer for about 10-15 minutes to cool. You can also choose to cool in your refrigerator but it will take longer to cool all potatoes.
- Remove potatoes from freezer and cut them again in half making smaller pieces. Add potatoes into large bowl.
- In a small bowl add mayonnaise, mustard, relish and celery seed. Stir until blended. Add mayonnaise mixture slowly into bowl with potatoes stirring lightly until potatoes are coated.
- Serve immediately or store in refrigerator until ready to eat.
