One thing that I will never get tired of is seeing Chris Evans walk into a room. Earlier this month I had the opportunity to attend the Captain America: Civil War Press Junket where we had the opportunity to interview Chris Evans along with some of the other Marvel cast that you will see in this new upcoming movie.
While we had scheduled to have a few minutes in between interviews, Chris Evans actually walked into our interview with Paul Bettany which brought a smile to everyone’s face in the room. Having both Captain America and Vision/J.A.R.V.I.S. in one room was a blast for the short time we had!
Chris Evans is really a joy to be around and can definitely make you laugh. This was my second opportunity being able to interview Evans and both where memorable! Our group got to ask him some really great questions and I wish we would have had more time with this man.
I am going to share some of my favorites questions and his responses.
Exclusive Interview With Chris Evans
Q: When you put the uniform back on and the costume back on, how do you feel?
Chris Evans: I feel good now, I didn’t in the beginning. In the beginning it was terrifying. Don’t all our brains just manage to go to the most negative thing possible? Whenever there’s something in front of us, you just focus on what the worst possible outcome could be. When I began the movie, it was just like all the things that could go wrong and how this could be a mistake.
I LOVED this question because it was similar to one that I had previously asked. Two years ago I asked Chris “What was it like, seeing yourself as Captain America for the first time? Be sure to visit my previous Chris Evans post to HEAR what he had to say.
You just never know what a group of mom bloggers are going to ask when it comes to interviewing the Marvel superheroes. Last month there was in issue that evolved where Disney and Marvel threatened to boycott Georgia if they passed an anti-gay bill. Here is what Chris Evans had to say about this issue.
Q. What were your thoughts when Marvel threatened to boycott Georgia if they passed the Anti-Gay bill?
Chris Evans: It was great. I really I thought that was great. I didn’t even know- my younger brother is gay and he was the one sending me these text messages being like, “Good for Disney,” and it was just a nice thing to read about. I’m proud of them. I was so proud of Disney for standing up to that and making a statement and saying, “Listen, this is what we feel, this is what we believe in.” I was proud to be a part of the Disney family during that.
It is always FUN to ask a superhero who their superhero was growing up. While I thought that Chris was going to say Iron Man, he surprised us all with his awesome answer. I think I may like him even more now.
Q: Growing up who was your favorite superhero?
Chris Evans: Oh, I didn’t have one. I had an older sister and whatever Carly wanted to do, we did. So we played My Little Pony and Care Bears, that was it. Just being in Carly’s room was a big deal. So comic books were not on my radar. I liked Star Wars, which was maybe the coolest thing about me, but that was my dad being like please, please like Han Solo and I was like, “But Tender Heart Bear!”
Another question that can be fun to ask your favorite superhero is who would be their greatest opponent! Since I am a fan of the female superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe I really enjoyed his answer!
Q: What superhero from Team Cap would be a good face off for Captain America?
Chris Evans: Scarlet Witch would be trouble wouldn’t she? You know what I mean? She messes stuff up. She would be a problem. I mean we’re lucky we have her, because without her when you look at Team Iron Man, just even having the Vision. Vision is so wonderful and Vision is so powerful. We’d be in trouble without Scarlet Witch, we really would.
These were just some of my favorite questions from our exclusive interview. To read some of the other questions we got to ask Chris Evans please follow the hashtag #CaptainAmericaEvent on Twitter.
