Back in 2009, I remember going to Walgreens to buy Infant’s TYLENOL for my son and could not find it anywhere. I then looked for an alternative. I didn’t see any fever reducers on the shelf for infants and I panicked. I have found that when any of my children are running a fever, I feel the need to hurry and do what I can do get their fever down. I remember that the Infant’s Tylenol was such a convenient product that I could buy when my little ones were sick. When it was no longer available, running my children to the ER was my next best option. To me, I would rather be safe than sorry when it comes to the health of my babies.
It looks like TYLENOL has been busy working on improvements to their children’s products and will soon be launching their new Infant’s and Children’s TYLENOL on the shelves of our local drugstores and retail stores.
The new Infants’ TYLENOL will include a new, enhanced bottle with a protective opening and push-in syringe which will:
- Provide even better dosing accuracy and ease of administration to infants
- Allow for better control when dispensing the medication and reduce spillage
- Further reduce the risk of children being able to get to the medicine in the bottle
While I no longer have an infant, I am happy to see that this product is going to be available for those mommies that need it for their babies. There will also be new dosing directions related to the change in concentration on Infants’ TYLENOL as early as this upcoming cold and flu season.
As for the Children’s TYLENOL you are going to see changes with this product too! You will soon see enhanced bottles with the protective opening on Children’s TYLENOL products along with proper dosing cups. Soon there will be one concentration of acetaminophen for single-ingredient TYLENOL® products for infants and children. This change is being made to help standardize dosing across our products and age groups.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Tylenol and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

I’m so glad to see they’ve added a new medicine dispenser to it. Too many times I’ve lost the little cup that’s included with these medicine bottles and have to estimate.

I’m definitely looking forward to the changes with the infant dosing. It sounds like a much better way to make sure it’s accurate. I know I had a hard enough time filling the dropper, but my husband had an even worse time with it. With our second baby on the way, this is excellent timing!
