Interview With Jeremy Renner & Elizabeth Olsen

During my trip Los Angeles for the Captain America: Civil War Press Junket we were able to sit down with Jeremy Renner ‘Hawkeye’ and Elizabeth Olsen ‘Scarlet Witch’ to ask them questions about their roles in the Marvel films.

One thing that seems to be common when interviewing superheroes is they all seem to have a sense of humor. Our interview started with Jeremy making fun of the Hawkeye figurine that was on the table he was sitting in front of and laughs saying that he doesn’t know where we get these things from.

So it was asked if they like it. Elizabeth mentions that she loves it but thinks it’s the weirdest thing but awesome. She goes on to tell us about how her friend walked by the LEGO store in New York and took a photo of the Scarlet Witch LEGO which she thinks is a weird LEGO because of it’s facial expression. Jeremy laughs adding on that she has snap on hair.

After we were done talking about superhero figurines we delved into the questions that many fans want to know! We asked the two about the stunts. We wanted to know how much is done by them and how much is actually done by the stuntmen.

I think we do as many stunts as we can, and then they, a lot of times, take a second crew out, or they’ll film things when we’ve already been wrapped from the movie, when they’re in Germany, and they might do stuff then. But when we’re there, we do everything. (Elizabeth Olsen)

Elizabeth also shares with us that she doesn’t like having a stunt person do what she does and needs to get better at wirework for the next one. And flying! Take a peek below that features Scarlet Witch in action…

After screening the Captain America: Civil War movie I have to say that I am now a bigger fan of the Scarlet Witch. Being a female I love the female superheroes and glad that Marvel is bringing them more into their movies. Scarlet Witch has a much bigger role in this new film and you will see her use some of her powers!
