Disclosure – I received tickets to this event but all thoughts & opinions are my own.
Last night I attended my second Wizard World Comic Con in Sacramento. This year I decided to bring my kids along because I knew they would enjoy it just as much as I would if not more.
This is the perfect event for those that enjoy pop culture, comic books and would be really fun for those that enjoy playing video games and even board games. My son got a kick out of playing Pac Man that was one of my favorite growing up.
While Comic Con has TONS of games you can play and people in costumes to keep your eyes entertained, you might also get the opportunity to hang out with a celebrity and maybe get a autograph or even a picture to share! I had the opportunity to meet Eugene Clark last night who played the zombie Big Daddy in Land Of The Dead that you can find inside the exhibit hall at Wizard World Comic Con this weekend.
One thing that I also LOVE about Wizard World Comic Con is all the FUN stuff that you can buy. You can find a variety of pop culture merchandise including toys, clothing, comic books and more. I have a collection of the Funko Pop Vinyl figurines and was excited to find a booth last night that had two of the Finding Dory characters.
For those that collect comics, this event will be a lot of fun for you. Here is some creative comics artists and writers that will be at Wizard World Comic Con in Sacramento:
Artist Alley in Sacramento will feature Arthur Suydam (“Marvel Zombies” “Army of Darkness”) Phil Ortiz (“The Simpsons,” “Muppet Babies”), Paolo Rivera (“All-New X-Men,” “Daredevil”), Jason Shawn Alexander (“Abe Sapien,” “Batman Arkham City”), Billy Martin (“TMNT New Animated Adventures,” also lead guitarist/keyboardist, Good Charlotte), James O’Barr (“The Crow”), Genese Davis (“The Holder’s Dominion”), Mike Norton (“Battlepug”), Victor Dandridge (“Vantage: Inhouse”), Carlo Barberi (“Avengers,” “Deadpool”), John Orlando (“Doc Behemoth”) and many others.
Wizard World Comic Con is an event for all ages to celebrate the best in pop-culture, pop-fi, movies, cosplay, comics, video games and so much more! Tomorrow on June 19th there will be a kid’s costume contest for those of you with children that want to dress up. Wizard World Sacramento show hours are Saturday, June 18, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, June 19, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
One of my favorites is Captain America! I couldn’t leave without taking a picture with Steve Rogers! Don’t mind my photobomber Jason in the background. 🙂
