When I was young I used to love robots and droids. I was also a computer geek in training. I used to watch The Jetsons and thought I would have a robot like Rosie when I was a grown up and was always fascinated with R2D2 on the Star Wars movies. As a child I also loved science would have really enjoyed a STEAM curriculum that some of the schools now offer. My eleven year old daughter takes after me with her passion for science and was excited to watch Annedroids Season 3 with me that is available on Amazon on June 24th.
Amazon’s Emmy-nominated Annedroids is a cute series about the adventures of a kid scientist named Anne, her human friends and also the android assistants that she has created. Until this month I had not heard of this show. Once I found out that the show was about a girl who was a kid scientist that created her own androids to use as personal assistants I knew my daughter and possibly my son would enjoy the show. They are on summer vacation from school and I have been looking for educational shows that they would like to help keep them entertained. I also like to find shows that are entertaining that we can watch together all as a family.
I have watched a couple episodes of Annedroids Season 3 with my daughter and think this is a perfect show to binge watch with the kids. We might even learn a few new things too as the series spotlights, through trial and error, how science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) can inspire children to do great things. Our favorite character is Pal, Anne’s Android friend who wants to be a real kid more than ever.
I have my shows that I watch with my 17 year old on the weekends and now I have a show that I can watch with my two youngest. Instead of movie night we will have a day where we have popcorn, snacks and watch our shows all day on the couch. We can’t wait to see what scientific adventures Anne will get into next!
You can watch Annedroids for FREE on Amazon if you have the Prime membership. There are also other viewing options available for those that do not have Prime. For those that have not seen the show yet you can watch Episode One from Season One for FREE on Amazon now.
