I am excited that Adventures in Babysitting which is also the 100th Disney Channel Original Movie premieres tomorrow at 8pm on the Disney Channel. I was one of the first to screen this movie earlier this year at the Disney Channel and absolutely LOVED it! After screening the new Disney film we got the chance to interview Sofia Carson and Sabrina Carpenter which you can read and watch below.
When I was a teenager I started making money by babysitting. While most of my experiences were pleasant, I do remember at least one time that made me question rather I wanted to babysit anymore. The movie Adventures Of Babysitting is inspired by the popular 1980s film of the same name which was a movie that was a movie that was one of my favorites.
In the new and re-imagined tale, Adventures in Babysitting is about two unlikely friends Jenny Parker (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lola Perez (Sofia Carson) that turn one crazy evening of babysitting into an exciting journey into the big city as they hunt for one of the kids that snuck out to go to a concert. They must venture out to find the missing kid and make it home before the parents do!

Like I mentioned before I absolutely LOVED the movie and think it will be the perfect family movie tomorrow night. It has so many funny scenes that I can’t wait to see again and I know that my eleven year old daughter is going to really like this movie and probably even my eight year old son. This is one movie full of ACTION that the whole family is sure to enjoy!
While I was at the Disney Channel in April my group of bloggers was able to sit down with Sofia Carson and Sabrina Carpenter after screening the movie to do a Q&A type interview which was really fun. These two girls are not only amazing on TV, they are also pretty awesome in person too! They even took pictures with us after the interview that I couldn’t wait to share.
Some Of My Favorite Questions & Answers
Are you more like Lola or Jenny?
Sofia Carson: I would say I’m kind of an in between. Lola is, you know, this really cool free spirited young girl who isn’t afraid to just live life, despite the consequences of sometimes making irresponsible decisions. But she’s really passionate about her art and a very strong girl. And I’m also very passionate about… I think we both are, about what we do about our music and acting. And we’re both also… I’m just gonna answer this for both of us.
What is that like for you? And what does that do for your personal life? Being in the public eye?
Sofia Carson: It is an honor to be able to be in a position where we can influence young girls. And it’s a big responsibility, but it’s a beautiful responsibility because, you know, as we were growing up, we looked up to actors and singers to be our role models as well. Their voice, and what they stand for always influenced us so much. I think we’re very lucky if they were to tell stories, like Lola and Jenny’s story. Like Edie’s story, who represent girl power, you know, ’cause girls can take over the world. I think it’s an honor to be able to be able to share these stories with them.
Sabrina Carpenter: Well, and also the fact that I think Sofia and I both, had such big dreams and aspirations as to what we wanted to do. And I think the fact that we’ve been able to figure out those dreams and not only get to do them every day, but, you know, love what we do every day is hopefully an inspiration to girls everywhere, and boys, to figure out what they want to do. And make sure that whatever they do in life, that they love it, so that way they don’t have to work a day in their life.
Who were your role models growing up?
Sofia Carson: My role model’s always been my mom. She’s the most incredible woman in the world. Most incredible woman I know. And I always strive to be just a little bit like her every day. Even if it’s just, like, 10% of what she is, that would be enough, because she is truly my hero.
Sabrina Carpenter: My my mom and dad, and my older sisters. My whole family. The Carpenter bunch is kind of a special bunch.
Both of these young ladies are talented and great role models for our teens. I can’t wait to see what else the future has in store for both of them. They did an amazing job in Adventures In Babysitting and it is a movie that I am anxious to watch tomorrow evening and also a movie I am adding to my Disney movie collection when it comes out on DVD!
