I didn’t actually start wearing my Fitbit until January 3rd. I had a goal to lose weight but I had until the end of the year to worry. I new that at Christmas I would want to eat cookies and sweets so I told myself I would wait until January 1st and make a new years resolution to lose weight. Since the kids had the first week of school off I took a couple more days off. On January 3rd I put on my Fitbit, added the Fitbit app to my phone and got out my Fitbit scale. Although I haven’t joined the gym yet liked planned, I have lost 5 pounds as of today!

How did the Fitbit help me to lose weight?
Now I am actually seeing how many calories I am burning. I am no longer wanting to eat those things filled with sugar and filled with lots of calories. I actually find myself eating less now which makes me happy. My Fitbit shows my sleep pattern and has shown me I should be getting more sleep. I am also motivated to walk more steps each day. There was one day that I hit the 10,000 steps on my Fitbit and it started vibrating and showing Fireworks.
If you want to lose weight but need a little motivation like I did I suggest investing in one of these handy little devices!
