I have always been a fan of the Nutcracker story since I was a little girl, especially around the holidays. I have never tried ballet, but it was something I remember wishing I could do when I was young. I think my interest for ballet or being a ballerina all started with my first jewelry box that had a little ballerina that would dance and play music when you opened it. Well this weekend I got to watch the NEW full-length documentary with my youngest daughter called “Finding Clara” from Justice Studios that goes behind-the-scenes of the beloved Nutcracker production through the eyes of four young and hard-working dancers.
This is a really neat documentary since I myself wished I could dance like a ballerina when I was a little girl! Now that I am a mom of daughters, I found it interesting hearing the stories from these four talented young girls who have big dreams. In this documentary, Justice and Elevate Pictures were given exclusive access to go behind-the-scenes of the BalletMet Nutcracker production for a unique web series called “Finding Clara” that includes moments from rehearsals to the girls finding out who landed the role of Clara! These four girls have busy lives that include attending school, getting their homework done, rehearsals and times when they have to eat dinner on the go. These girls have some amazing dedication! The exclusive original Finding Clara web series was then adapted into an 87-minute full-length documentary that you can download NOW!
