When it comes to the different types of foods available today, I would say that Italian food is one of my favorites. I absolutely LOVE pasta and I love making dishes with all the different kinds of sauces on the market if I don’t have time to make my own.
This month I was asked to create an original recipe using some of the La Romanella products. You know that I was up for this challenge. La Romanella has some great products including cooking oil, pasta, pasta sauce, cheeses, sausage and more. You can make a complete meal for your family, with just La Romanella products and maybe a few vegetables from the garden.
I put on my apron and put together a dish I knew my family was going to like. I made a Linguine dish with Italian Sausage and red sauce. Check out my yummy recipe below:
Ingredients:
- 3 La Romanella Mild Italian Sausage Links – cut in small pieces
- 2 bell peppers – one red one green diced in small pieces
- 1/4 – white onion – chopped in pieces
- 2 TBS La Romanella Olive Oil
- La Romanella Marinated Artichokes
- La Romanella Parmesan Cheese
- 1 jar La Romanella Pasta Sauce
- 1 16oz package La Romanella Linguine
Directions:
- In a skillet add olive oil, bell peppers and onions. Cook on medium heat around 10 minutes or until tender. Add sausage and cook an additional 10 minutes.
- Cook linguine (see directions on package) and set aside.
- Warm pasta sauce in sauce pan and remove from heat.
- On a plate add desired amount of pasta, then sauce and then add the bell pepper and sausage mixture.
- Add desired amount of parmesan cheese and place a piece of marinated artichoke on top.
- Enjoy!
I was totally pleased with all of the La Romanella products that I received to create this meal. If you are interested in the La Romanella products, you can purchase them at Smart & Final. If you have never heard of Smart & Final, it is a chain of stores in California, Arizona and Nevada that carry a broad range of restaurant-quality food, foodservice supplies and culinary equipment that requires no membership fees. You can find all sorts of items in bulk sizes and awesome prices too!

All the guys in my house love Italian sausage in pasta sauces…I haven’t tried the La Romanella brand of sausages yet, but this has inspired me to try it out. Great job.
