I have found a TV series that I can watch with my daughters. This past week I have been watching the first series of Switched At Birth on DVD. I have some episodes left, but plan to be caught up before the new series airs next month. I actually plan to be caught up on the whole series by the end of this weekend.
From the studio that brought you “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” comes a groundbreaking new drama about the upheaval that two teen girls experience when they discover that they were accidentally switched at birth.
Bay Kennish, a talented graffiti artist with an edgy streak, grew up in a wealthy family with happily married parents and an older brother. Daphne Vasquez, an athletic teenager who lost her hearing at an early age, grew up with a single mother in a working class neighborhood. When the girls’ worlds collide, family bonds are tested, new romances are sparked, and they start to learn that it’s who they are inside that matters, not where they grew up.
Being a mom, I really have enjoyed watching this show with my daughters. When there is a little bit of quiet time, when their is no chaos, me and the girls are watching each of these episodes without missing a minute. I have to say it has brought tears more than a couple times too!
Relive the girls’ journey and catch up before the premiere with “Switched At Birth: Volume 1.” that includes all 10 episodes. In this two-disk DVD set, you will all receive exclusive collectible Switched At Birth iPod skins.
Right now you can purchased Switched At Birth at Amazon for only $19.99 (regularly $29.99).
Disclosure – I received a review copy of this DVD to provide you with this review. This post is not a paid post and the opinions stated herein are 100% my own.
