Ever since I was a child, I have participated in fundraisers. I remember not only selling things for my schools to help generate money, but also selling candy door to door when I used to play softball. My earliest fundraisers that I can remember are those annual Jog-A-Thons that I would always try to get my family to give me their pledges.
Being a mom with three of my children in school, I am always finding my kids bringing some sort of fundraisers home to help their school. Sometimes we participate and sometimes we don’t. My three children that are in school, happen to go to 3 different schools (elementary, middle school and high school). I don’t dare put my son in preschool right now or I am going to be one taxi mom! There are some fundraisers that I always participate in, especially the ones that have to do with YUMMY food.
Today I learned that the Easy Dough Fundraising company was started by a mom like me! I don’t know about you, but with me being an “entrepreneur” type of mom, I am always excited to learn about companies that have been founded by fellow moms looking for a way to make money for their families. Nancy Bryan started this fundraiser business as a way to raise money which has turned into a full time venture that his helping raise millions of dollars for public and private schools, private parties and more.
One of my favorite things about Easy Dough Fundraising is that they offer a variety of fundraising ideas. Not only do they have my favorite, cookie dough fundraisers, you can do a candy bar fundraiser, scented candles fundraiser, coupon books fundraisers and some other cool options. For those interested in starting a fundraiser visit the Easy Dough Fundraising website to sign up for Nancy’s Free Online Kit On How To Run A Successful Fundraiser. On her website you will not only find all the different fundraising products, but also some helpful fundraising tips.
There is also a helpful article on eHow website on How To Start A Successful Fundraiser. This article gives you some great tips on how to get started. After reading all this useful information, you might just be able to become good at helping your child raise some money!
So what are your FAVORITE fundraisers you have participated in?

I like the cookie dough fundraisers my kids do.

I’ll be honest – I prefer just giving money to the school/team/charity instead of buying stuff. That being said – I also love cookies. I love them so much that I cannot keep cookie dough in my fridge, because I’ll eat it all. π

I remember doing these fundraisers as a kid and it was difficult with a small family and living in a small town. This is GREAT!

I totally agree with you that it means more to me when I know a company was started by a mompreneur like myself. My favorite fundraiser was a scented candle fundraiser – so cool that this company does that too!

The only fundraising in my neighboring schools are for gift wrap, questionable chocolates, and odd trinkets. I don’t really enjoy them for that reason, but if the cookie dough was sold and proved to be good, that might change my opinion on them.
