When it comes to buying supplies for the house, I often try to be frugal. I am not really frugal though when it comes to buying trash bags. I only buy Glad bags because I know they are STRONG.
My grandparents always have had Glad trash bags in their pantry. Every year, since I can remember, I visit my grandparents on Christmas Eve to open presents with the family. I have always put all my gifts into those bags and they never let me down. Never did my gifts get ruined over a torn bag. I admit, I tried the cheap bags years ago when I was younger, but after using Glad for all my life, they don’t even compare in quality for me.
Today I sent out a Tweet to let Glad know I was using their bags wisely!
I have tried to teach my children that it feels good to give to others. Since they often get new toys to play with, I always ask them to donate the stuff they no longer want. I gave them a Glad ForceFlex Extra Strong Large trash bag and asked them to put together a donation for the kids that don’t have toys. I reminded them that Christmas is coming and they needed to make room for some new toys. They were eager to help.
I can always depend on Glad bags for holding all my stuff I am trying to hold in their bags. Just the other days I used one of these bags to put a bunch of old catalogs in that I wanted to get rid of. I didn’t get a picture, but I definitely put the bags to the test.

If you are on Facebook, you have to check out the After The Wild Life Tab on the Glad Facebook page. There is a fun game you will want to play called “Missing In the Mess” where you find things that are hiding while being timed. I thought it was fun to play and wanted to share!

It looks like Glad bags really allow you to pack the donations in without tearing! Such an important feature when used for actual trash as well.

I too am very frugal when it comes to buying things! I have to because everything is so expensive. But I bought some of these bags, and used them to put big and small items into it. I used these bags when helping to move my brother, and I tell you even the sharp objects did not penetrate these bags. They are so strong and I can reuse them to put things in! Always will consider buying these bags in the future, even if they do cost more!
