I received an all expenses paid trip to Florida to attend the Decade of Memories Event from Experience Kissimmee. No monetary compensation has been received and all thoughts expressed are my own.
Earlier this month I had the opportunity to take a trip to Sea World in Orlando, Florida without my kids. I should feel bad that I wasn’t able to take them, but I don’t. Sometimes a day at a theme park without the kids, with your fellow blogger friends can be just as fun.
This was my second trip to Florida, but my first trip to Sea World in Orlando. Now I went to Sea World when I was about 3 in San Diego with my mom and grandparents, but I don’t really remember any of it. When I found out that our group would be going to Sea World, I was really excited.
When we first got to Sea World the first thing that I experienced was Stingray Lagoon where I got to actually touch a real stingray.
Our next stop was Dolphin cove where I seen some beautiful dolphins. You have the option to touch the dolphins, but none got close enough for me to touch. I definitely want to come back so I can spend more time in this area of the park.
After we left Dolphin Cove we checked out the Florida Manatees, baby alligators, we then headed to Pacifc Point Reserve and seen some cool birds including the endangered wood storks, sea lions and otters. My 5 year old LOVES birds so I took quite a few pictures at this part of the park, especially of these really neat looking birds. After taking so many pictures I am thinking I need to bring him back to Sea World so he can see these guys in person.
After we got tired of looking at the birds, sea lions and otters we made our way over to the Shamu Stadium to watch the “One Ocean” show. I have seen shows before with whales, but this show was really neat. Our group sat at the top of the stadium out of the son, but with the Florida humidity, I was wishing I was sitting down in the front row so I could get splashed like some of the audience members.
After watching the show in the Shamu Stadium we headed over to the Seafire Inn Restaurant for some lunch. This is a cool spot to eat because the food is already pre-made. Youย just got to grab a tray, grab the food you want to eat and pay at the register.
After we got some food in our bellies we headed back out for our next adventure. As we made our through Sea World we came across the Dolphin Nursery where I got some some really pictures of the young dolphins.
After taking pictures of these cute dolphins it was time to make our way to Antartica, a trackless ride at Sea World that was my FAVORITE part of this park. For those of you that love penguins like I do, a trip to Sea World to see Antartica: Empire of the Penguins is a MUST see.
If you visit Sea World, there might be a line for this ride but it is really worth it. This ride starts with a short little video, then a trackless ride that takes you into Antartica where you get to see real live penguins. Not only do you get to see them, you get to feel what it feels like to be in Antartica. It is freezing cold once you get to the end of this ride, but being up and close to these penguins is worth it. I was able to get a ton of photos, some really up close photos and even some video footage to show my kids.
I had to take a selfie pic of myself with Antartica in the background.
Here is a short video that I created to show you some of the penguins that I seen.
Group picture time in Antartica!
After leaving the Antartica ride we ended the day with a ride on the Manta. If you are enjoy roller coasters, this ride is thrilling! I LOVE riding coasters and this ride had me screaming on a few parts. I would definitely ride it again!
Now we were at Sea World for about 5 hours and didn’t get to see everything there is to see. There are other shows and rides that I would love to come back and see with my family. I only got to see a small portion of what there is to see at Sea World Orlando but I had a blast during my time there!

My son would love this! He is at the age where everything seems so magical. He would especially love the penguins since he is into penguins now, but I bet that this may change after seeing some shows at SeaWorld.
