We have been fans of the HEXBUG toys since they came out. The fun started with just the bugs but now the bugs have their own little environments….
For those of you HEXBUG fans, the Helix 180° is the Nano V2 bugs dream habitat. The Nano V2 can climb through the tubes on its feet or on its back. It can also pass another bug in a single tube to avoid a traffic jam! These gravity defying bugs climb vertically, horizontally and around corners. They can breeze through loops, tubes and to the tip top of any Nano V2 habitat.
Putting together the Hexbug only took maybe 5 minutes. Here is what it looks like not put together.
Good thing my son has a big sister to help him put together the new HEXBUG habitat. Notice his new HEXBUG Nano V2 is already in motion and his world isn’t even built yet. My son was a little anxious. 🙂
Once it was put together we all had fun watching the little Nano V2 run all around.
Here are some additional features I want to mention:
- Includes a spiral tube accessory for the Nano V2 to climb through as it explores its environment.
- You can control the flow of traffic by filling the attachment points on the two HEX cell bases with accessories such as fixed pegs and rotating flags.
- This set is compatible with any other Nano V2 set.
For those of you that have HEXBUG fans on your shopping list, this would make for a great git idea for the upcoming holidays!

My daughter loved hexbugs when they first came out. I think my nephew is now old enough for them. I will have to watch for them while out Christmas shopping.

That is SO cool! We have a huge collection of HEX bugs so if my daughters saw them climbing UP they would completely flip out!
