I was invited to the #ABCTVEvent. Costs and expenses for my trip were covered. All opinions expressed are my own.
One show that I know many of you watch is Grey’s Anatomy. This show is so good that it is in it’s tenth season. Last month I was able to visit the ABC Studios where Grey’s Anatomy is filmed. Ever since I have been taking classes I have been out of the loop on the show, but being on the set has me watching the past episodes to catch up!
When we arrived at the studios for our tour, we didn’t didn’t get a tour by an employee of the studios, our tour guide was the one and only Jessica Capshaw that plays Dr. Arizona Robbins. This made the tour even all the more special and memorable.
On the tour Jessica showed us around the set where we were able to walk the hallways and see the famous stairs that you probably have seen several times if you watch the show.
I also got to take a personal look at the famous “Dream House” of Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd. I got some cool photos for you Grey’s Anatomy fans so be sure to keep reading…
Here is a picture of me posing on the stairs that I just had to have.

Our first stop on our tour was Dr. Meredith Grey and Dr. Derek Shepherd’s “Dream House”. Here is a picture in the kitchen that I had to take a picture because I thought it was great. It reminded me of my own fridge with the photos and drawings except mine doesn’t have a fancy see through window.
Next picture is the couch in the “Dream House” that I was tempted to sit on. I should have took a #selfie!
Here is another picture where you can see some of the toys and other props. What caught my eye was the little treehouse toy. We had one for years and just donated it last month.
And the liquor props in the “Dream House” on display.
While I was in the master bedroom of the house I passed the post-it note with Meredith and Derek’s wedding vows from Episode 24 on Season 5 and I had to take a picture.
I think Patrick Dempsey is really cute… I think he is one of the reasons for me originally watching the show years ago. I had to take a picture of this picture prop.
This was just part of my our to the set of Grey’s Anatomy. We also got to sit down and talk with Props Master Angela Whiting, Costume Designer Mimi Melgaard and even Sarah Drew who plays Dr. April Kepner. I LOVED being able to sit down at a table and talk with Sarah who stars in Moms Night Out coming May 9.
Stay tuned for for Part Two of my trip to the set of Grey’s Anatomy where I am going to share some pictures of more props you will want to see and the inside scoop from Angela Whiting, Mimi Melgaard and Sarah Drew.
ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy airs TONIGHT at 9|8c.
You can also currently watch 214 episodes on HuluPlus.
