I was invited to the #ABCTVEvent. Costs & expenses for my trip were covered. All opinions expressed are my own.
In March not only did I tour the set of Greys Anatomy, I was also able to go behinds the scenes and take a tour of the set of General Hospital. For me this was really cool because I used to watch this show (back in the 80’s) with my Nana when I got home from school. Those were the days of Luke and Laura with my favorite being Frisco!
Once we were inside we were greeted by the show’s executive producer Frank Valentinie. Our first part of the tour was to look at some props from the General Hospital set. Some of these props were from the 80’s which was really neat. While we were looking at props, we were also able to chat with Finola Hughes and Dominic Zamprogna.
Here is some of the old and fun General Hospital props that I got to see:

Our next part of the tour was to visit the actual set area where the show is taped. While on the set were able to check out the different props, take pictures and even pretend like we were part of the show.
I couldn’t leave the set without taking a few selfies to share on Instagram and Facebook.
Before it was time to leave we had a little surprise. William deVry stopped by to take a picture with the group.
If you are a fan of General Hospital you probably know already know all about the annual Nurses Ball. This was an event that was originally founded in 1994 by Lucy Coe as a fundraiser for HIV and AIDS awareness and research. The Nurses Ball is held at the Port Charles Hotel and is attended by many of those in Port Charles that includes singing, acting and dancing.
This week (May 8th – May 14th) Port Charles will once again hold its iconic Nurses Ball gala. As the Nurses Ball 2014 begins, several of the popular Port Charles residents will be noticeably absent from the Red Carpet and stuck at home watching the festivities on TV. Old and new loves will percolate while others find themselves in awkward situations. Amidst all the romantic drama, the never-dull Nurses Ball audience will be entertained with fun performances and sexy surprises.
General Hospital airs Mondays through Fridays at 2PM ET on the ABC network.
Did you know that General Hospital is the longest running soap opera and celebrated 50 years last year in April?
