When the kids are stuck at home during the summer you can keep them entertained by doing arts & crafts. I have been doing crafts with my kids this last month and they LOVE it. For those looking to make a fun craft with the kids that can go to good use after, how about some fluffy flip flops. They are CUTE and very easy to make.
For those that are having a “girls” birthday party and looking for fun ideas, this is PERFECT! Here is how you make these cool flip flops…
Supplies:
- Flip flops
- Fabric squares
- Scissors
How To Make Fluffy Flip Flops
Step One:
First you will want to cut a series of 1″ by 6″ strips with the fabric squares. For these adult size shoes I used about 30 strips. You can choose to use more or less. The more strips the use, the thicker the shoes looks. (Tip – Walmart sells these little pieces of fabric for about $1 that work perfect. I just used two of these and had fabric left over. )
Step Two:
Take the fabric strips and tie them around the flip flop straps using single knots. As you add the strips, push them together.
Step Three:
Keep adding strips around flip flops pushing them together until you reach your desired look.
This is one craft that I LOVE. I am a huge fan of flip flops and I think these are cute. It is also a cheap craft. I know that many of you already have flip flops you can use plus leftover fabric.
There are so many different fabrics out there to make these cute. For those of you sports fans, you can get some fabric in your favorite sports team and make some sporty fluffy flip flops!

This looks so fun and is easy enough for kids to do on their own.
