I was invited by Disney/Marvel to attend the #BlackPantherEvent. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Last month during my trip to Los Angeles I visited the ABC Studios where I was able to screen the first episode of The Bachelor Winter Games. For the last couple years I have been a big fan of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise so being able to watch a sneak peek of the new show before it aired was really EXCITING and what made it even better was being able to interview the host Chris Harrison right after!
I am a reality TV junkie! I remember watching The Bachelor when it first came on years ago and thought that watching people fall in love on TV was like a fairy tale and I always think it is fun to follow along to try to guess who the bachelor on the current season is going to choose. Now there is a new season that premieres TOMORROW on ABC that has bachelors and bachelorettes around the world that will meet in the streets of Manchester, Vermont for a celebration of unity and love!
If you are a fan of The Bachelor like I am you are going to LOVE this new season. You are going to see some familiar faces but you may see some new faces as well. Take a peek at this video below to give you a sneak peek of what you be seeing on The Bachelor Winter Games:
The Bachelor Winter Games Q&A With Host Chris Harrison
Being in the same room with Chris Harrison was more exciting than watching any of the shows! You always see him so cheerful on every episode and he is just as much as a charm in person. After watching the first episode of The Bachelor Winter Games Chris was ready to answer our questions!

We wanted to know how The Bachelor Winter Games got started….
Chris Harrison: When we started Bachelor Winter Games, we had no clue about what we getting ourselves into and what we were gonna do. We had this concept and it was very loose and it was fun for us because we’ve been doing the Bachelor and Bachelorette for 16 years, which I love and it’s my baby but if you’ve seen the show, we’ve been doing it for awhile, we got it down, we know what we’re doing. There are subtle changes and small little changes depending on who it is and what but it’s The Bachelor and Bachelorette. You know with Winter Games, there was nothing, there was no concept. There was no idea. It was all us so it was fun for us after 16 years to completely come up with a brand new show.

When I think of The Bachelor I think of contestants that live here in the United States. What I learned from Chris Harrison is that now only is the show one of the biggest franchises in the history of TV, it is also around the world too!
Chris Harrison: The Bachelor is a phenomenon here obviously in the United States and it’s one of the biggest franchises in the history of TV, and it has been for almost 2 decades. But it’s actually huge around the world and I’m not sure you guys know that but a lot of people don’t know that from all corners of the world from Japan, China, Finland, Sweden, from Russia, the UK, and Australia and New Zealand and Canada.

Now that they have filmed The Bachelor Winter Games we wanted to know which show he prefers…
Chris Harrison: I mean, I hate to say this out loud to people that are only gonna write this but Bachelor Winter Games may be some of my favorite television we have ever produced. It’s that good. And I don’t know if anyone’s gonna see it. It’s on against the Olympics. It’s on against some tough competition. It’s only a 2 week run. But it’s one of those things, I would love to have good ratings. I’m not even necessarily caring at this point because it’s so damn good, it’s so good. And you guy saw a little bit, a taste of it but it’s phenomenal how well it turned out and it was exciting. It was fun for us to be just really producing on the fly, coming up with great ideas and you see this stuff work and the concept worked.
And so it was phenomenal and so I’m excited. Hey look the Bachelor and Bachelorette are always gonna be my baby. It’s changed my life on many levels so that’ll always be my favorite but this was really fun and I haven’t had this much fun in a long time.

Being that Chris Harrison is NOT married we had to ask if we can we ever expect to see you as a Bachelor?
Chris Harrison: I am a Bachelor, even The Bachelor. I’m so bad at it at my normal private life, I can’t imagine putting that on television. It seems like a horrible idea. In all seriousness, obviously people ask that a lot. I believe in the show and I believe in love and I had a wonderful marriage for many years and I have two great kids and I have this finite amount of time with them before they’re off to college and I produced this show for so long to be all of a sudden a contestant on it, I guess we’d call it, would be really weird. It doesn’t make sense to me because I produce and when I’m hosting, I’m even producing and to be sitting on a date and thinking A, I know everyone in the room because I’ve worked with these people and raised them 15, 20 years and then on top of that, I’m worried about the lighting, and if we’re getting good content and where the scene’s going, and how do we end it. And I’m like, this is not a good way to find love.

I have been watching the show for some time and there are a couple contestants that always have a lot of camera time and that would be Corrine and Ashlie I. Corrine is known for being Corrine and Ashlie is known for always crying. I had to ask Chris who was more fun to work with Ashley or Corrine?
Chris Harrison : They’re both a lot. That’s a lot. That’s a big sandwich right there. They’re both very different but I will say they’re both who they are and that’s again, I’ll go back to like, whether I’m best friends with either one of them or any of them, I know what I’m gonna get with Corrine because she is who she is like she’s not putting on an act. That’s Corrine so when I sit down and I get an interview with her like I know where this is going. The same thing with Ashley. I mean, it’s usually gonna all lead to tears but I know what I’m gonna get. What I don’t like is walking into an interview, and you just for lack of a better term, you know someone’s bullshitting you.
Being the host of The Bachelor for almost two decades we had to ask if there any players from seasons back that you have seen that you wish you could just put them together because you know they would be great for each other?
Chris Harrison: No. I’ve played Matchmaker to people but I never thought you should meet this person from Season One or Season Two. I’ve never crossed Shows. They do that on their own. I don’t know if you know about Bachelor Nation Bachelor Family but they cross pollinate a lot. They go on these trips and shows and that’s kind of where Bachelor in Paradise came from, the summer show because the show is Bachelors and Bachelorettes would go on these reunions on their own.
