When was the last time you seen The Lion King?
This past weekend, I got to experience an opportunity of a lifetime. Now I remember when the Lion King first came out in 1994, almost two decades ago . I was just graduating high school and I remember that the movie was making making a whole lot of money. A couple years later when my first daughter was born, I knew I wanted to add The Lion King to our Disney VHS collection. I have always LOVED Disney movies, no matter how old I get. I will admit though, up until this past weekend, I had not seen the movie The Lion King for years.
This Saturday was the premiere of The Lion King 3D at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood and I was invited. I cannot tell you how thrilling it was to be able to walk the Red Carpet with the celebrities into the theater to watch this movie. Okay, so the carpet was not red this time, it was green but still the same in my opinion! While waiting for the movie the movie, we were entertained by a man playing music on a beautiful organ on the stage. Once the movie was about to play, the man with the organ decends below the stage, the curtain opens and you know the movie is about to begin.
Once the movie started, I got the chills and goosebumps on my arms. I honestly felt like a kid again and it was awesome. I watched the entire movie eating my popcorn and enjoying every minute of this film. While most of the time I was smiling, it also made me cry when Mufasa dies and Simba goes off on his own. I guess that is the “mom” in me and I bet I wasn’t the only one that shed a tear in the theater that morning. Of course this movie had a great ending with Simba reuniting with his family and the crowd cheered.
After the movie ended, I was able to attend The Lion King 3D reception along with other fellow bloggers and of course the celebrities. Stay tuned for upcoming posts to find out who I seen and what celebrities I was able to grab a picture of and with.

This Disney Lion King 3D film was truly an amazing experience and I recommend that all my Disney fans take watch this movie while you can. Even if you have already seen The Lion King, the 3D experience makes it all so better!
The Lion King in 3D is roaring into theaters on September 16, 2011 for a two week run. After it leaves the theaters, it will then be released on Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and an eight-disc trilogy set on October 4, 2011.
I received an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles to see The Lion King in 3D in Hollywood. These opinions expressed are my own opinions and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.

It was a great experience and I am glad we got to finally meet in person and hang out, especially in Beverly Hills. I so have had a new Coach purse on my mind since we walked out of that Coach store on Rodeo Drive…..
