Going To BlogHer’12 With Mamalicious

Last year I attended my first BlogHer conference. I didn’t get to take full advantage of the conference and told myself I was going to make it to 2012 to get the full experience no matter where it was. Shortly after the Blogher’11, they announced it was going to be in New York City which happens to be all away across the United States for me. I got lucky and last year’s conference was in San Diego which was about a 10 hour drive for me had there not been traffic.

I am happy to announce that I will be there! This mom is going to travel from California to New York for this awesome experience. In the past couple years, I have met some fabulous bloggers and I cannot wait to see them again in the Big Apple as well as take part in all the fun things things happening at BlogHer’12. I can’t wait to take lots of pictures too. I have only been to New York City once in 2010 and I cannot wait to see the city again and take as many pictures as I can.

This year I will be venturing to New York City to attend BlogHer’12 with Aimee from Mamalicious®. Finding Affordable Eyewear That Won’t Break Your Bank Account

Last year I received a note home from my daughter’s school that recommended that I have my daughters eyes checked. I was a little shocked and immediately made an appointment. I was even more shocked when the eye doctor said that my daughter needed glasses and was surprised she did not wear them already. With that being said, I wished I would have had her eyes checked sooner, but I didn’t know. I never had vision problems and either has my husband, so the thought of our children needed glasses wasn’t something we had really ever thought about.

So after the exam we then headed to pick out a pair of glasses that my daughter would look cute in while at school. I know kids can be mean, so I knew I needed to pick out a pair that was cute. What I didn’t expect was the HUGE price tag that came along with them. I was anxious to get her a pair of eyeglasses, so I shelled out the money and her glasses were ready in about a week. Once we picked up her first pair of glasses, I knew that I had to get another pair and it wasn’t going to be from the doctor’s office.
