Audiobooks HQ App Review

Being the Apple addict that I am, I am always looking for new apps for both my iPhone as well as my iPad. Since I LOVE to read, I enjoy finding different apps that keep me entertained. I recently downloaded the Audiobooks HQ iTunes app that you might be interested in, if you enjoy listening to books over reading them.

When you download the Audiobooks HQ app on iTunes, you have access to 5,890 FREE HQ classic and contemporary audiobooks by Inkstone Mobile. Once you install the app and open it, you will be able view the catalogs of books.

With this app, you will be limited to just three of the catalogs of various audiobooks without subscripting. If you happen to be one that really enjoy listening to these types of books, there are paid membership options where you can pay a fee to gain access to even more books. Below is a screenshot of the paid options:

You can pay either $.99 cents a month or $9.99 a year to have access to more than 7,440 free high quality books and new books are added daily. If you like books but don’t have time to read, audiobooks allows you to just put some earphones in your ear and listen to the book while you are doing something else like washing dishes, exercising, etc.

I downloaded the app and found it very simple and easy to use. You first have to find the book you want to listen to, then download it. Using the app you can view apps that are Top Rated, you can search for books using Author name, Title or Recent. Once you download the audiobook, you can listen to it whenever you want without having to worry about having a network connection.

When listening to the audiobook, you have total control. There is a speed slider, bookmarks, background audio, sleep timer, AirPlay support and more! For those that like to fly, this might be an app to put on your phone so you can listen to books while you fly through the air. I know there is internet access on planes, but most of the time for a fee. I like that once you download the audiobook, you can listen to it without having a internet connection.

Cracker Jack Has Two New Flavors + Giveaway

When I was little, I used to LOVE when my mom would buy me a box of Cracker Jack snacks. It was exciting to me being able to open the box and find a little surprise. I enjoyed eating the candy coated popcorn and nuts, but the surprise was always my favorite part of the box.

Did you know that Cracker Jack snacks is celebrating 120 years of their tasty treats. Today, not only can you find the original flavor of Cracker Jack snacks, there is also two new flavors that my family has been enjoying. Cracker Jack now has a Kettle Corn flavor as well as a Butter Toffee flavor. Out of the three flavors, I would say that I am really enjoying the Butter Toffee flavor and it would have to be my FAV of the 3 varieties.

In addition to the two new flavors, the Cracker Jack brand is making even more changes.

More Nuts – For those that requested more nuts in the original Cracker Jack snacks, they listened. You will now find more nuts in the 4 and 8oz sizes.
Enhanced Prizes – There’s a new twist to the prize in every package. You will now find new classic stickers that include fun facts and digital codes to unlock surprises online through the FREE Cracker Jack-branded app. (www.CrackerJackApp.com)that features two nostalgic games (Baseball and Pinball).

If you are wondering, the prizes still look the same. So when you open a package of the Cracker Jack snacks and find the prize, it might bring back memories for you like it did when I found my prize in my package.

We received a bunch of these packages of Cracker Jack snacks to try and my two youngest children have been excited each time we open a package. They both like stickers, so its fun for them to see what kind of sticker they are going to get. For my 8 year old, she likes the stickers and the codes.

Del Real Foods Review + Party Box Giveaway

When it comes to food, I would have to say that I LOVE Mexican food. I love tacos, tamales burritos, enchiladas, etc. Although I love making my own Mexican style meals at home, I can never get mine to taste authentic, well at least in my opinion.

I recently received a variety of the Del Real Foods products to try and I am really loving the products. Not only do I think they taste awesome, they are easy to use to make meals with. Del Real Foods makes these pre-packaged meats that makes making a taco or burrito really easy to eat. You can heat these in the microwave, then serve in a warm tortilla with tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole, salsa and whatever else that you like to add.

We received the Carnitas, Chile Verde and Pollo Asado. I am a huge fan of carnitas tacos so my favorite would have to be the Del Real Carnitas but I enjoyed all three varieties.

In my shipment I also received some Cheese & Bell Pepper Pupusas. When I opened the box and seen these I was intrigued as I had never heard of a pupusa and was curious. It definitely was something I wanted to try.

The pupusas are made with thick corn tortillas with a combination of cheese and mild green chilies and heated up with a skillet. With this dish you traditionally top it with curtido, but I ate them with salsa and sour cream. I think if I eat them again, I am going to try them with some homemade guacamole.

The other items I received where some beef tamales and salsa. I LOVE LOVE LOVE tamales so these were one of the first things I tried. When we go out to eat to a Mexican restaurant, I will normally order a combination meal that has a tamale. At home I love being able just to unwrap the cornhusk from a tamale, heat it up in the microwave and have it ready in less than a minute. Del Real Foods wraps their tamales in cornhusks to preserve the flavor and texture of the masa. The beef is seasoned with a yummy red sauce and are delicious with the Del Real Salsa.

I enjoyed all the products I received from Del Real Foods and I can’t wait to try the products that I didn’t get a chance to review. They allow me to create meals at home for the family that taste authentic without much effort. I haven’t seen these products at the normal grocery store I shop at, but I have been keeping my eye out. I want more of the tamales!

When you have a large family, sometimes it is necessary to use things to freshen up the house, especially when you have friends or family over. One place that I like to keep an air freshener at all times is the bathroom.

If you were to ask me my favorite scent, it would be hard to pick just one. I like them all. Right now I have the Denali in use in my bathroom which leaves the bathroom smelling clean. For my living room or bedrooms I would go with any of the three other scents.
