Wet Ones To The Rescue

Now that Spring is here and the weather is getting warmer, my kids have been spending more time outside. Before we know it Summer will be here and it will be time for more outdoor activities like swimming and trips to the park for picnics and definitely time to see the animals at the zoo!

This past month with the weather being warm, we have also been taking advantage of using the grill. I prefer grilling outside when we can instead of heating up the house with the oven. Grilling also is fun when you have friends and family over. When it comes time to eat lunch and dinner outside after BBQ’ing, my supply of Wet Ones has been really coming in handy with the kids. I LOVE the Wet Ones products because they are portable and handy when soap and water isn’t available and help to kill 99.9% of germs. These wipes also come in handy when mom or dad happens to have BBQ sauce on their face. 🙂

DOLE Fruit Crisps Review & Giveaway

There are many times that I crave something sweet but don’t want to make a mess in the kitchen to make a big dessert. Most of the time I will try to grab a piece of fruit to fight the sweet tooth, but there days when a piece of fruit just isn’t going to cut it.

When it comes to fruit, Dole is a brand that has been a part of my family for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, I remember getting excited over the Dole stickers on the bananas my mom would bring home. I remember putting those stickers on my hand, on my cheek and even in my sticker book.

Now years later I am a mom myself and I am always stocking my pantry with Dole products. There is one product thought that my husband and I have been really enjoying, the Dole Fruit Crisps. These handy fruit snacks feature the delicious combination of all-natural fruit and a crunchy oat topping for a perfectly pleasing taste and texture experience with only 160 calories or less.

The Dole Fruit Crisp cups are currently available in three flavors, Apple Cinnamon, Apple Pear, and Peach. These can be enjoyed warm or cold, so if you are looking for a late-morning snack or maybe a little dessert after dinner, these come in perfect.

Out of these three flavors, I am going to have to say that the Peach is my FAVORITE. I have only tried it warm, but it does remind me of eating some warm peach cobbler. When I first received these for review I thought they would sit in the pantry for a while, but little did I know they would be gone FAST and I would be buying more.

Kids tend to get bored with just a regular apple or banana in their lunch, so surprise them with something cool. Pop one of these in their lunch bags and when it is lunch time, they can peel back the lid, sprinkle the topping and have an snack that is healthy and delicious.

Disneynature’s Wings Of Life Blu-Ray + DVD Combo Review + Video Clip

Just last week I was at the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco where I was thinking about how different the world would have be without Walt Disney. There would be no Disneyland or Disneyworld and there would be no fun Disney movies that millions of families continue to enjoy day after day and year after year. I happen to have many FAVORITE Disney classics from my childhood that I have been able to enjoy with my own children. I have sooo many fond Disney memories!

For those of you nature fans like me, Disneynature has released their film “Wings Of Life” onto Blu-ray and DVD today! This is not just any ordinary documentary about nature, this movie is AWESOME, especially if you want to learn about flowers, butterflies, bees and the reproduction cycle with some things in life we take for granted, pollen and bees!

When you watch this Disneynature film, you are going to see some incredible footage of nature taken in a dozen areas that range from the El Rosario Preserve in Michoacán, Mexico, to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument Park in Arizona. There is such close up views that when watching the film, it almost seems like you are close enough to touch it. I watched Wings Of Life on Blu-ray and I thought the detail on the flowers was amazing.

In celebration of Earth Day this year, I am going to watch this film with my kids. I thought I knew the basics of nature, but I learned some interesting facts that I didn’t know. I have a feeling my kids are going to enjoy this film too!

Picture Keeper Review

One hobby that I have had for as long as I can remember is taking pictures. Even back when I was young I had a passion for taking pictures and had my mom sign me up for this photography class with our local 4-H community. As a teen, I kept taking those pictures and my friends used to call me the camera lady. Know that now that I have a family of my own, my camera never really gets a break. When I am not taking dozens of pictures of my family and foods, I can usually be found taking pictures of products and such for my blog. I seriously have way too many photos and I hate to delete any photo that isn’t blurry.

For those of you that have lots of pictures on your hard drive like me, you might want to have a Picture Keeper on hand.

Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Products Review

Having acne is definitely something that nobody ever wishes for. I think that is especially true for every teenager. I remember thinking I should stay home sick anytime I had a pimple that I couldn’t cover up with some makeup. Luckily for my teens there is a ton of different over the counter acne products to help with those breakouts.

My teen has recently been using a couple of the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action products as part of her daily beauty regimen. She uses the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Daily Gel Wash twice a day. This product has been designed to work fast to open clogged pores and provide visibly clearer skin in as little as 12 hours.

My teen has also been using the Clearasil Ultra On-The-Go Rapid Action Wipes when she is away from home, like when she is staying the night at a friends. I asked my teen if she likes these products and she smiled and said yes. She said the daily gel wash seems to be working and the rapid action wipes are really easy to use.
