A couple weeks ago my 4 year old son got to experience having no power for the first time. My power has went out before, but either when he was younger or when he was sleeping and didn’t know. He was a little scared but thanks to Energizer, this time I was prepared with some products that everyone should have around their home.
Not only does Energizer have some of the best batteries to keep our electronics powered, they also have some really cool flameless wax candles that I have recently been using. If you are happen to be in need of a new flashlight, Energizer carries a neat WeatherReady flashlight that provides LED lighting and also takes AA, AAA or C batteries!
Just this past week I installed a Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Voice Alarm in my house. My house has a smoke alarm, but it is old and I don’t even know that it works anymore. After installing this new alarm, I feel a little more safer in case there is an emergency and there is a fire in my house. The Talking Alarm by Kidde will TALK and tell you if there is fire or if there is carbon monoxide. I installed this monitor after finding out this important statistic:
Thirty-eight percent of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms, while 24 percent occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, frequently due to dead or missing batteries. *
